Dan was born and raised in Albany County, New York, in December of 1979. He graduated from Guilderland High School and received a bachelor’s degree from The University at Albany, New York. Additionally, Dan also studied toward a master’s degree at The College of St. Rose and Schenectady Community College. After college, Dan specialized as a sales executive for General Motors. Dan quickly became experienced in the workings of GM’s first electric vehicle distribution program. For 3 years, Dan traveled throughout NY, MA, VT, and CA, educating electric vehicle users. In 2005, Dan studied for both his Real Estate Agent License and then a Broker’s License in New York State. He became one of the Albany, NY area’s top-selling RE/MAX associate brokers. Dan married in 2007 and made various real estate investments in upstate NY.
In 2014, Dan studied the national real estate market. He found a need for real estate services in Kansas City, Missouri. As a strategic business move, Dan sold everything in New York. Now having two young sons, he took his family in a motorhome on a tour through much of the United States. Next, Dan founded Prime Time Real Estate in Kansas City, Missouri. He recruited 25+ agents and found great success training agents and investing in Kansas City property.
Dan Novak is the Broker/Owner of Prime Time Real Estate Inc. of Sarasota, Florida, and NOVAK Real Estate of New York. Dan has been licensed in real estate since 2005 and has sold hundreds of homes for private and corporate sellers in four states: NY, KS, MO, and FL. He has worked in leadership and training positions for both RE/MAX and Keller Williams in the role of Team Leader. Dan has trained real estate agents nationally. Dan has resold his own homes, corporate homes, and sold hundreds of homes for private sellers.

There is something thrilling and energizing about sorting through hundreds of prospects for each of my listings. When I find the right buyer for my listing, it’s like finding something of great value to give to the seller to whom I am indebted for entrusting me. The masterful attraction, evaluation, and selection of each buying prospect is the key to obtaining great sales results on each listing I represent. With over 20 years of sales experience, I have refined my skills, and I am thankful for this ability. Selling real estate and coaching agents requires both talent and experience. The real estate industry has many imposters. Those who believe all agents can get the same results are sorely mistaken. One who believes that anyone with the same club as Tiger Woods can score the same will learn the hard way. A personal message from Dan:
As early as I can remember, my mother taught me that there is a God. I knew there was more to life but began my life down the wrong road. At a young age, I began to smoke pot, cigarettes, and drink. I was living for myself and my own pleasure.
In 2007, I married my beautiful Juliet. In 2010 and 2012, we bore two boys. Increased responsibility caused me to reconsider my faith in God. I read in the Bible that it was important to be sober-minded. To me, sober-minded meant drug-free. I believed in faith that if I gave up the petty pleasures, I would be more valuable to others and to God. With my clean and 100% sober mind, I put much energy into service to others. Before I was able to be valuable to others, I had to work on myself. I started reading more books and found older mentors to teach me. Now, I have volunteered at homeless shelters, trained real estate agents, and given messages in churches from New York to California. I have visited almost all 50 states and have been licensed to operate brokerages in four states. The beach is my new drug, but I am considering quitting, so I can best serve you here in the Sarasota area.
I am not a Bible scholar, but I have chosen to believe that God and Jesus are real. I do not judge others’ lifestyles and treat all people fairly regardless of their choices. “Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
